Pitched-Medium Delay

A double delay, one for pitched playback and a second for feedback, gives this device the ability to produce harmonizing shimmers without runaway rises. The harmonizing delay can be controlled via 1V/oct signals, both for sequencing/performing and for use as a granular oscillator. A coarse tuning lever effectively acts as an octave control.

On the feedback delay, a parallel high pass feedback loop can be used to give repeats increasing character. Independent time & loop length controls for this buffer would ordinarily be set to match the other delay, but can be set individually for complex behaviors and rhythms.

The SYNC input restarts the harmonizing buffer upon the rising edge of a trigger/gate pulse so that harmonies play at the same time as the input signal. Especially obvious at slow speeds, this makes it posible to produce real-time harmonies (tinker with the loop control for best results).

The DJ-style mix slider at the bottom balances the dry/wet signals, and at the top, lowpass and highpass filters allow you to shape the delay tone. Every control can be modulated to great effect, producing granular intrigue, glitched mayhem, ambient variance, and dynamic changes.

By giving you full control, it does what other delays tend to leave just out of reach.
